E/R

We've had quite the weekend ! Yesterday we wound up in the E/R with our 5 year old son. We discovered that he was dehydrated (he had the stomach virus for 4 days) and decided to take him to the hospital. Although we've been to the E/R for various things in the past, it was never for our son. So, yesterday, he put on his brave face and was such an awesome patient. He didn't even scream when they put the I/V in him. Poor thing was so weak and, as a parent, there's just nothing worse then seeing your child suffer.

He's doing better now although we have to monitor him closely for the next day or so. Thank you to everyone for your prayers and love. Especially to my brother and his family who got my emotional call first thing yesterday morning and calmed me down with prayer.

I have so much to post about and I'm hoping things will calm down soon so I can share all the wonderful things God is doing here.

I know, you feel helpless when your child is so sick. When my Philip was 6 mos. there was an awful virus going around. I remember your sis. Ruth and I think your cousin Dave also had it at the same time. I didn't sleep for three days trying to get the fever down. Pastor Behr came on a Sunday afternoon (the day Liz was dedicated)took time from his very busy schedule, told us to give him mint tea in his bottle and prayed for him. By the next morning he was completely well! Our God is awesome. Sounds like Chris is feeling better. Good job Beth and Steve....you are great parents. We are praying for all of you.
